  The area is a bit out-of-the-way but we Los Christianos is a ten-minute taxi ride away (about 7 miles) and having visited the market you can then spend a slow afternoon walking back along the coast/beach, with regular stops for refreshment in the MANY bars. There's a lot of competition so beer is extraordinarily cheap, around €1 per pint.

  There's a small secluded beach next door although facilities thereon are non-existent; there are a couple of waste bins but that's about it. If you traipse up the path on the other side you come to a slight busier area with a number of small shops and the Hard Rock Hotel which has a great rooftop bar open to non-residents. Drink prices are pretty astonishing - around €10 for a cocktail - but they have some very good live entertainment in a great atmosphere.

  No tea and coffee making facilities in the room but we were all-inclusive and only a 5 minute walk from the bar so not really an issue. There is however a fridge where you can store bottled water, which is freely available from reception.

  This is my first time being in Spain and i must admit that this hotel extended all my expectations. Beautiful landscape with the ocean next to the hotel. I am very happy i took that extra "view" on my room. Because now i can see, hear and smell the ocean from my bed. The room realy surprised us. Everything was shining and nice welcome feeling. My balcony was the most romantic place of the hotel. It was like a movie. The service and the personel where as good as ever. There where times you forget you talking to personel or just a friend. The food was good in every way. Free buss 3x a day to the city and back to the hotel.

  Plenty of sun beds around the pool area, which is perhaps a little on the tired side, with broken tiles here and there. But several times overnight we did notice areas being coned off and worked on to remedy this sort of thing, so they're definitely not oblivious to it, and it's not as if it inconvenienced anyone.

  Staff are absolutely superb - always charming, friendly and helpful. The size of the room - no, I should call it a suite - was a pleasant surprise, and we happened to luck out by getting the end of the block, which gave an uninterrupted view over the nearby beach (Playa Galagas). Bed was rather solid but after 2 nights we asked for and received foam mattress toppers which made it bearable; really depends on what you're used to it suppose.

  staff are very helpful and understand the needs of the guests. Full of patience especially with people with special needs as we came here as a work related holiday.   The animation and choice of recreational games is fun. Hector is probably known to everyone who has been to this hotel. He and the group of animators are amazing.

  We went with TUI and the representative was helpful, polite and knowledgeable. We couldn't understand why English are paying a small amount more for the excursions than our European neighbours.

  In the dining room, there was plenty of choice and the food was always perfectly edible, albeit that there wasn't a huge amount of variation from one day to the next and other did start to get a bit "samey" after a week.

  The staff are very friendly, helpful and always smiling. A great many nationalities holiday here. Everything is clean and the pools are facing the sun all day.
